Jenna Elfman recently started sobbing in the middle of a Los Angeles bookstore and had to be hugged and comforted by husband Bohdi. The cause of her distress had nothing to do with the store being out of her favorite author, but rather because she is so upset with the cancellation of her TV show Dharma & Greg. Jenna has been having crying jags and running to the L. A. Scientology center for help in dealing with what she calls a "major defeat" in her life.

Jenna just can't seem to wrap her mind around the fact that the show was a major hit only two years ago and now is off the air. "She was on a roll and used to things going her way," says a friend. "So she's taking this hard. And she's not getting any good movie offers, so she's starting to panic a bit over her career."

Gwyneth Paltrow and Luke Wilson are dating again after splitting up earlier this year. They both played the field for a few months but the couple started talking on the phone again a few weeks ago and Luke recently flew from L.A. to London, where Gwyneth is starring in a play, to stay with her.

Now, their commitment is stronger than ever and Gwyneth is telling pals they're talking about getting engaged. The couple were spotted looking at rings in jewelery shops in London's posh Bond Street and Gwynnie's pals are keeping their fingers crossed that at last she'll be lucky in love.

So, what's up with a sighting of Possession co-stars and rumored squeezes off-screen, Gwyneth and Aaron Eckhart at the hip London nightspot Kabaret? I'm told they were quite cozy sipping Starbucks' new mango and chocolate malt frappucinos. They are scheduled to set off paparazzi flashes when they attend Elton John's annual white tie and tiara ball later this month. Madonna and Guy Ritchie will be there as well as Kylie Minogue, Prince William, Cornelia Guest, and Liz Hurley for the Elton John AIDS Foundation fundraiser.

While it's true that Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley are dating again, I can reveal exclusively that just a few weeks ago the Oscar-winning actor and his ex-wife Patricia Arquette took a romantic vacation together in Bali. They stayed at The Four Seasons Hotel on the beach for a week but the couple were holed up in their beautiful villa for most of the time and didn't even take in the local sights. What's going on in that relationship is anybody's guess!

Heather Locklear has changed her mind about not having another child and now she and rocker hubby Richie Sambora are confiding to close pals that they're trying for a baby brother or sister for their daughter Ava and they're hoping that by year's end Heather will be pregnant. Now that Spin City has come to an end, the actress, who'll turn 42 in September, says she can hear the time clock ticking and if she doesn't do it now it may well be too late.

It's a baby boom at the House of Emanuel Ungaro. The designer is launching his first collection for toddlers at next month's Pitti Bimbo fair in Florence, Italy. New mum Elizabeth Hurley signed her son Damian to be the label's model. Labeled, "I love Ungaro," the line caters to children up to three-years-old. Since kids do grow up fast, Mr. Ungaro is already working on a larger offering for children up to 15.

The king of shoes, Manolo Blahnik is so concerned that pregnant Sarah Jessica Parker just may decide to stop wearing his stilettos, he has created a selection of comfy, kitten heels or mules so she can carry on being his foot muse.

When Emilio Pucci started shipping his groovy, colorful wares to the U.S. in the '50s, doubters said no one in America would be caught dead in a silk jersey! Boy, were they wrong! All it took was for Marilyn Monroe to spy an intricately printed, waist defining Pucci blouse in a store window in Los Angeles and snap it up to immediately make the glorious fashion statement and make the designs a must-have for every fashionable woman's wardrobe. Now, Pucci is re-issuing limited editions of some of Monroe's favorite Pucci style from the late '50s and '60s. So, it stands to reason, lovely Nicole Kidman bought the famous blouse in Paris recently for $1,200. She also snapped up several dresses, capri pants, and a square handbag. Emilio's daughter, Laudomia Pucci says like MM, Nicole epitomizes the sex glamour of the brand and it's sexy, jet-set attitude.

And, that was new best friends. Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger, who are both avid collectors of vintage clothing, seen at the Manhattan Vintage Clothing Show at the Metropolitan Pavillion on 19th Street...

On another note, Nicole Kidman's two children, Isabella and Connor, are both begging her to give up smoking cigarettes. They're both already being taught in school about the dangers of smoking and have been pleading with Nicole to quit. She's told them she'll try but she can't promise.

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt are so upset that their favorite bowling alley, Hollywood Star Lanes, is going to be torn down and replaced with an elementary school that they've added their names to a petition to save the the legendary place. Not that they think schools are, like, bad or anything, but they just love the divey joint where they can swill cheap beer and knock over a few pins with pals.

Jude Law likes his London neighborhood, Primrose Hill, just the way it is. So when he heard Starbucks was planning to open a store there, he rallied 1,300 neighbors and together they managed to stop the store from opening shop. Law worried that Starbucks would put some of the local merchants out of business.

Most celebrities buy themselves a few extravagant goodies when they hit the big time, assured money worries are a thing of the past. Some buy sports cars or expensive baubles, but for Russell Crowe-it's bulls! Recently, Crowe spent over $30,000 on two Angus bulls and has named them Narangullen Visage and Narrangullen Verdum, after the cattle market he bought them from-the annual Narrangullen stud sale near Yass in New South Wales. The twin bulls will join Russell's 250 breeding cows on his ranch near Coffs Harbour. Russell and his farm manager tried to bid on the bulls discreetly. He wore a large hat, but who could not spot Russ in a crowd? I'm sure he got a good deal, as everyone should know this wasn't Russell's first rodeo!

Michael Douglas is planning a teen version of Fatal Attraction. I'm told the adulterous characters would be revived with a quiet high school senior and a seductive prom queen who turns nasty when her lover returns to his old girlfriend. The source says Douglas has talked to Britney Spears about playing the prom queen.

...that's Hollywood Gossip!
